The criteria of the On the way to PlanetProof certification scheme for plant products will be revised in 2022. The revision ensures that the criteria remain current. All stakeholders are invited to contribute input for the revision.

This week, the certificate of the Global Ecolabelling Network (GEN) was awarded to SMK for the quality label On the way to PlanetProof. With this, GEN recognizes the label as a reliable type 1 ecolabel. SMK, the administrator and developer of the label, can now work together with other ecolabels worldwide to make a greater impact on sustainability.

On 43.579 hectares, a wide range of plant products with an On the way to PlanetProof certificate is produced by 1.583 companies in The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Poland, Spain, Italy, France and Portugal. There are also 96 companies certified for the trade in those products.
